Privacy

Face detection happens on your device. BlinkDuel does not record your camera. The game server does not receive raw webcam frames, screenshots, recorded video, face meshes, landmark arrays, embeddings, or biometric identity templates.

Your camera

Microphone access is disabled. The camera starts only after your confirmations and an explicit Start camera action. The standalone camera check keeps its preview on your device and does not join a room.

During a duel your live video is shared directly with your room opponent through WebRTC. That person can see it and could independently capture it; BlinkDuel cannot prevent that. Stop camera releases your local camera tracks. Leave game also closes the peer connection. You can revoke camera permission in your browser's site settings.

Gameplay data

Optional account

You can play as a guest without creating an account. If you continue with Google, Google shares an account identifier and basic profile information, including your email. BlinkDuel stores the Google account identifier, email, chosen player nickname and account creation time in its account database. Your email is not sent to your opponent.

Secure cookies keep you signed in and protect sign-in forms. BlinkDuel does not store your Google password or retain Google access tokens. Signing out ends this browser's session; it does not delete your profile. Contact support for account-data questions.

The application server receives your nickname, room and player identifiers, readiness checks, connection signaling, timing measurements and match results. Blink reports include eye scores, confidence, blink duration and a timestamp. Face-model files are served by BlinkDuel and processing runs locally.

Connections and storage

WebRTC exchanges network information needed to connect the two browsers. Your opponent, and a STUN service if configured by the operator, may receive network address information. Some networks cannot connect with the current configuration.

Room and round state are held in server memory, separate from the persistent account database. There is no video-recording storage. This does not mean all metadata disappears on leaving: operational logs can contain room, player and round identifiers, event times and outcomes. Hosting systems may keep request and network logs separately.

Log retention depends on the operator's hosting configuration; no fixed deletion period is promised here. BlinkDuel does not use advertising or analytics trackers.
